LED lights have replaced all traffic sign lights in the city of Granada (Spain).
The annual electricity saving in the 5,764 replaced sign lights is expected to be 150,300€, which represents a great benefit for taxpayers as the useful life of these systems is about 100,000 hours instead of 6,000 hours for conventional systems.
Nowadays, local specifications for installing new traffic lights require the use of this technology, which means a scope of around 89% in energy saving levels.
